ART 4 SAIL

Successful applicants were awarded one of 60 blank, white sloops to “artify”. The results are on display at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute until Oct 21st. They will then be auctioned off to raise money for various art programmes.

 

 

I christened my contribution “See Legs”, an obvious pun that lends itself to the Art 4 Sail campaign name. I used mixed media to create an homage to burlesque. I figure the use of mixed media would help my sloop “stand out” from the other entries… ugh, another pun… they are involuntary at this point. In my defence, Masterworks Gallery started it by using a pun for the campaign name, although that argument may not have a leg to stand on… oh no, not again! Gees, I better just stop this now. From here on out, I’ll put my best foot forward… uh, I mean, I hope participation in this event will give my budding art career a leg up… AAAHHH!!!!
